This is a team of parishioners who join Father Keith at local community events so we can meet new people, share the blessings of being members of our parishes with them, and invite them to worship the Lord Jesus at our churches. Those who are shy or unable to go out to these events are also invited to be members, because we also need team members who will commit to praying for our efforts while we are out there.
Shelves of Hope Food Pantry is a ministry of our two parishes in partnership with the Southern Maryland Food Bank. The pantry is hosted at St. Catherine Church Hall, located at 7636 Port Tobacco Road, Port Tobacco, Maryland, and is open the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 9:30-11:00am.
Through this ministry, St. Catherine and St. Ignatius join together to prepare and serve hot, healthy meals to those who are in need. Volunteers help to procure, prepare, cook, and serve the meals. This takes place every other month on the last Wednesday of the month, with the meals being served at the St. Catherine Hall from 5:00 - 6:00 pm.
